Event Description

Keynote speaker for this event will be Dr Kevin Stein, Vice President, Behavioral Research, American Cancer Society.
Dr Stein will describe the emergence of cancer survivorship as a major public health issue in the United States and worldwide. He will address trends in cancer incidence and prevalence, including factors related to increasing rates of survival. He will also address the challenges of cancer survivorship and outline the programs, policies, and
services offered by the American Cancer Society to address these issues. He will provide directions for future research and avenues for interventions to improve the quality of life of cancer survivors and their loved ones. This free workshop will be one of seven taking place at 2:15pm as part of the Living Well with Cancer conference.
